Those about to Die......

The iconic Colosseum in Rome used for large scale gladiatorial events is in need of a good clean and repair. It suffers from heavy pollution from traffic and its foundations are being effected by the vibrations of a nearby subway line.

Sadly the Italian government is currently unable to contribute towards the repairs of many of its important historical sites such as the Colosseum and so private individuals are stepping forward to foot the bill.
The founder of Tod's luxury leather goods, Diego Della Valle has put his best foot forward and pledged 25 million euros ($36 million) towards the bill to restore the ancient Roman arena. Its hoped that the funds will also allow better access to the site, as much of it is closed off to the public due to safety concerns.
